HOW AI COULD MEAN THE DESTRUCTION OF THE WORK FORCE
I just watched a movie here on Gregarious.
It is called In the age of AI.
I casually flipped through it, a week or so ago, watching only the first 10 minutes, but tonight I took time to watch this movie and my jaw dropped.
The information in this video is so eye opening and filled with information about impending changes that we all should be wary about. I literally stopped in the midst of watching this movie/documentary to type out this message to you.
The movie was frightening to me because it is reality.
This movie is the reality of where we are headed as a people.
As I watched the movie, I realized that my next "husband" will most likely be an AI created man.
I have seen how the Japanese have integrated the sexbots into their culture. AI based love partners is already on the market and availble for purchase. It is frightening. Does this spell the end of true intimacy? What does this say about us as humans, and as a people. It is sad when humans have to turn to AI for love and companionship. Our world is definitely changing at a rapid pace.
What scares me is that while the scientists are rushing us into a world of AI, humans are separating from their fellow man more each day. I can not tell you how long it has been since I had real life, face to face, (not zoom) interaction.
I still quarantine, even though I am double vaccinated, because I have health conditions that put me at risk. Never in a million years did I think that this health condition would one day mean that I would spend the rest of my life inside.
The crazy thing is that I have been living this way - basically - for years.
I think what I find upsetting, is that now, it is no longer a choice, it is a necessity. This is how much our world has changed in just a few short years.
The part of the movie that concerned me the most was when they began discussing the implications of driverless vehicles. Then the movie went on to show how the Trucking industry is poised to go driverless.
This does not seem so bad, except that Trucking is a 740 BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY, and there is now a potential for 300,000 jobs to be lost. This is how AI is destroying the trucking industry, slowly but surely.
There are ALREADY DRIVERLESS RIGS ON THE HIGHWAY!
How does that make you feel? It certainly
does not make me feel warm and fuzzy knowing that the biggest thing on the highway is possibly being operated by AI with no driver in the truck! SCARY!!!
This is a HUGE game changer people! Artificial Intelligence is replacing millions of jobs. Millions will be jobless. It is very sad to see how the increase of technology is slowly leading to the decrease in real jobs for humans. Not many are addressing this very real concern. Which is why I highly recommend everyone take a moment to watch IN THE AGE OF AI.
