Before I begin, let me make it clear from the start, that I do not wake up at 3 am every morning to just give things away or not make a profit.  That is not the point at all.   I simply want to meet my clients where they are financially, mentally, emotionally and creatively. 

Perhaps it is the memories of being on webinars and getting to the end when they tell you HOW MUCH THE PRODUCT/SERVICE/OFFER will be, and they announce some huge unattainable number.   That taught me a valuable lesson about meeting my potential clients where THEY ARE financially. 

I won't lie,  I learned a little of this mindset from Maria Wendt, Sarah Lines, Laurie Burrows, and other sales coaches who like to provide varying pricing for clients.  

For instance, you may have packages that go all the way up to $15k, but you have to realize that not everyone is in a place to pay the 15k, so you may creative alternative packages that help you to reach those who can not pay that amount. 

Of course there has to be boundaries.  For example, reductions are temporary and are limited to specific individuals who have been impacted by the great recession.

I recently gave a $100 monthly discount to several of my clients when I learned that they were struggling. The theory is, they will/can PAY MORE, once I help them EARN MORE.

I know not everyone thinks this way because it can get cutthroat out there nowadays.

This is probably a personal core value, but I feel that it is much more important to feel good about what I'm creating rather than simply selling to make money. That just feels empty and hollow. I want to actually help change other people's lives because that is so much more rewarding!
